Our almonds are carefully selected from the United States and Australia where the trees thrive in the warm climate. The almond tree is a smaller, deciduous tree that becomes productive and bears fruit after 5 years. In spring, the tree blooms with fine pink flowers, and 7-8 months after flowering, the fruit matures. Almonds are in principle not a distress, but a stone fruit with a fruity, green oval must be extreme. Inside the stone fruit there is the brown, moistened shell that you know, for example from Christmas time, when almonds can be bought in shell. At our own Risteri in Aarhus, Denmark we have made sure to dry-roast and lightly salt the almonds for you so you can enjoy them right out of the bag. Dry-roasting means that we have not added oil in the roasting, but that the natural taste of the nuts is highlighted. First, the almonds come in a salt bath before we shake them slowly and at low temperatures. We know our raw materials and have an attitude on how they come to their right.
