Juustoportti’s lactose-free Vapaan lehmän buttermilk has a fresh and smooth taste. It contains 1% fat. The buttermilk is delicious to drink as it is, but it is also suitable for baking or as a base for smoothies. Juustoportti’s free-moving dairy cows can move around freely, spend time outdoors all year round and graze in summer. Their welfare is assessed regularly using the international Welfare Quality® method. The assessment is carried out by an external expert. On Vapaan lehmän farms, animal welfare is at least at the enhanced level. The milk is GMO-free and collected from farms that have signed Juustoportti’s animal welfare agreement.
