Paprikajuusto, matured for an average of six months, is a cheese mildly flavoured with bell pepper. In the making of Paprikajuusto, pieces of bell pepper are added to the cheese mass, giving the cheese a rich yet refined bell pepper aroma throughout. The bell pepper is visible in the texture of the cheese and makes it unique. Paprikajuusto has a soft texture and is also enjoyed by those who prefer milder cheeses. Juustoportti’s long-matured speciality cheeses are made by hand at the show cheese dairy located next to the Jalasjärvi service station. In the same courtyard, there is also a cheese cellar where these speciality cheeses, made from Finnish milk, are matured. The product carries the Produce of Finland label. The speciality cheeses are especially well suited for a cheese platter, and when the cheese craving is at its strongest, they can be enjoyed as they are, straight from the pack.
