Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) originates from the Mediterranean region. Even before the beginning of our era, milk thistle was known to be an important plant for the liver and to support its health. Milk thistle helps maintain liver function and the body's cleansing processes. The active ingredients of the plant, six different flavonolignans, the mixture of which is called silymarin, are located in the milk thistle seeds. One Liverin® tablet contains 200 mg of milk thistle seed extract, of which 160 mg is silymarin. 200 mg of extract is equivalent to 5000 mg of dry milk thistle seeds. The product does not contain ingredients of animal origin.
