Chablis is usually classified as Bourgogne wine even though it is located in its own island-like region, clearly further north, halfway between Dijon and Paris. The limestone ground in the area and the cool climate give distinctive characteristics to wines, where you can easily distinguish between minerality and acidity. This Chablis is a blend of village-level Chablis wines from Louis Jadot, a very prestigious winery. The wines have been fermented in steel tanks to preserve fruitiness and freshness. They can be stored for five to ten years depending on the vintage.
