Golden Syrup is a light-colored sugar syrup made of sugar cane and sugar beet. Minerals and organic extracts from cane sugar give syrup its beautiful golden-yellow color and refined toffee flavor. Golden Syrup is a concentrated (dry matter content 80%), partially inverted sugar solution containing sucrose, fructose and glucose. The extensive sugar composition improves the shelf life of the end products. Golden Syrup not only gives the final product sweetness but also flavor and adds baking color. Golden Syrup is used in bakery products, for example in bread and sweet pastry products. It is also used in sweets, desserts and ice cream sauces.
