The eggs packed by Satamuna are 100% domestic, produced by Finnish family farms, safe quality eggs. We are not only producing and packing eggs in our family but also hatching and rearing chickens also. This provides a quality chain as we know and can contribute to the production of eggs for even more than a generation. The unique quality chain can be noticed in the taste, safety and external characteristics of our eggs. Satamuna as a company is a pioneer in animal welfare in Finland. Since 2012 we have invested heavily in cage-free egg production, which has always been our company's own production. We have also been awarded an animal welfare certificate in recognition of the work we do. As a company, Satamuna Oy also invests heavily in environmental issues. Concrete investments made in environmental matters have been e.g. the packing station's transition to ground source heat and ground source cooling as early as 2016. The use of solar energy in the production chain, recyclable plastic egg trays for farms pick ups and transport vehicles that comply with emission standards and many other details.
