In kitchen gardens, grown with Tuscan kale, the pot marigold is simply lovely. This variety has full, orange flowers. The beautiful petals are edible and have an ornamental effect in salads. Remove wilted flowers gradually, or let the seeds mature for seeding. The plants can also be composted for green manuring during autumn.
