Castello® Aged Havarti cheese is made according to traditional recipe from 1952. Something amazing happens when you store the mild, and slightly sharp, Danish Havarti. As the cheese matures, the texture becomes slightly firmer and slightly crumbly than younger Havarti cheeses. The different flavors come together, and you experience a wonderful crunch of salt crystals on the tongue, and a bold and unique taste. This cheese has the official EU protected geographical indication PGI mark and can only be produced in Denmark under strictly controlled production methods.
