Merlot is by far the most widely planted grape of the entire Bordeaux region. In the Venezia DOC region, Merlot adapted perfectly to the climate and the
clavey soil. Thanks to early ripening it offers a constant yield not being affected by the late autumnal rainfalls or hails. Rechsteiner Merlot stands out for the engaging coexistence of typically fruity notes and the remarkable olfactory and gustatory complexity achieved by aging in wood.
